Jackie Lupo, owner of the Bistro on Main, has worked in the restaurant industry for most of her life. With a passion for providing healthy, delicious foods and excellent service, you will often find Jackie at the door greeting her guests with a smile.
Jackie’s first restaurant venture in Lexington was the Black Dog, a small café designed to cater to the needs of busy college students and faculty. Offering fresh, quick dishes the Black Dog soon became a popular spot for students and locals alike.
In November 2003, the Bistro on Main opened its doors with an expanded menu that retained the appeal of the Black Dog Café but also added many upscale dishes.
With the newly revamped menu, the Bistro on Main has seen its clientele grown. Retaining the value that made the Black Dog popular, the menu has evolved to include many finer dishes making it equally appealing to an even more discerning palate.
Offering a different menu for brunch, lunch, and dinner the Bistro also offers daily special soups, quiches, and entrees. The intimate, casual atmosphere and affordable menu has made the Bistro on Main a favorite among visiting students and their parents as well as locals and tourists alike.
